They really did a good job working with us to make sure everything went smoothly and although I (the bride) did not get to really enjoy any of the food, everyone commented on how good they thought the food was. And they were even kind enough to pack up a meal for me to take home, I was starving after the day was over! The tables were decorated beautifully as well, and Kathy (one of the coordinators there) was so sweet, she really took the time to make sure we were happy during both the planning process and on our wedding day.

Besides our awesome wedding photographer J Fresh and Silk was one of the best purchases we made for our wedding. They are a small shop but they are some of the most honest, and helpful people you could deal with for your wedding. I was that crazy bride who planned everything super early (nearly two years in advance), but they were happy to accommodate me and they could not have done a better job of bringing what I wanted to life. The bouquets and centerpieces came out so much better than I could have imagined, and I am so grateful for all the hard work they put in to making what I wanted come true.

Photographer-Angel Eyes Photography (of course)
Hilda is amazing. I saw her pictures and immediately decided that she needed to be our photographer on our wedding day. She knows how to capture just the right moments, and she listens to what you want. When we met with her initially we made it a point to tell her that we weren’t a fan of “posed” pictures. We wanted her to capture everyone in the moment, because it shows true emotion and feeling on such a big day. I am very camera shy and although I needed more than just a little bit of guidance on what to do or how to pose, Hilda made me feel so comfortable the entire time. She really knows how to build up your confidence to truly capture the happiness and love throughout the entire day. And let’s not forget Carol! She was great too, and both of them together add so much humor to your day it’s hard to stress at all really. Plus, I had a little issue with my wedding straps being a little loose, and they even ran to get me some double sided tape to hold everything in place. Although it’s small, it really meant a lot to me because it showed just how much they truly do care about each and every one of their clients. All in all, if you need a photographer for anything really, Hilda is definitely the way to go!! Once your day is over, all you have are the pictures, so you better make sure they look awesome!

I wanted a specific look for our wedding day, and let me tell you, Antje nailed it. I had been to various hair trials and no one was able to even come close to what I wanted. Antje took the time to have a really in depth consultation with me before starting anything, and she spent so much time during my trial tweaking things to make sure I was 110% happy with everything. If you are wanting a vintage looking style, she will give that to you and I guarantee you will be more than happy with the results.

They have a really nice selection of suits and tuxes to choose from, along with several color options for vests and ties too. Great service and great prices, and everyone there was really nice

Favorite wedding memory:
Matt and I had been together for a long time, so I was never one of those brides that got super giddy over the whole wedding thing. People would bring up the wedding all the time and I’d always blow it off as no big deal. It didn’t ever hit me until everyone started walking down the aisle that I was actually getting married. I had never been so nervous in my life, but that feeling was just so exhilarating for me that I just loved it! I was shaking walking up the stairs to the chapel, and then I met eyes with Matt. Super cheesy I know, but as soon as I saw him I calmed down. He started laughing which made me start laughing, and it was such a good feeling. I also enjoyed the part when we were exchanging rings, where he gave me the wrong hand AND finger to put his ring on.

Overall I am really happy with our wedding day, and I don’t think we would have done anything differently.

Advice:
Everyone always tells you that the day is going to fly by, and I expected that. But you really don’t understand how quickly everything comes and goes until you are in the moment on your wedding day. I had an early start to my day getting my hair done, and before I knew it the last song was being played at our reception. You might think that you are going to remember to do certain things to say certain things on your wedding day, but trust me, you don’t. So if there’s certain pictures you want, or certain songs to be played, or really anything in general, make sure you have someone that can gently remind you of that or take care of it for you. But just enjoy your day because it’s only a couple of hours of the rest of your lives together.’
