I met Lory and Saby a few years ago when I photographed Lori’s brother’s wedding. So I knew without a doubt that this was going to be a FUN wedding! Both families are Italian (lots of relatives made the long trip for the wedding) and I learned a few key phrases that I needed to get my job done. “Guarda a me” means “look at me” I used this one a lot 😉

I’ve been to many beautiful weddings, but it’s not often I’m in awe …when I walked out on the terrace to photograph cocktail hour I was blown away!!

“Hilda Burke-Angel Eyes Photography-I just cant thank you enough, one of the very first compliments I got from family after the wedding was how amazing you were and they had never seen a photographer be that active and involved in the day. They couldn’t believe all the great shots and special moments you were capturing not just of us but of our guests. My facebook inbox is filled with people asking when the pictures are coming out! I have a family friend who I see maybe once a year on me for pictures! Also, a heard from a few people Carol was a delight and working the room so nicely!
Renaissance on Wacker– Absolutely loved this place, cocktail hour was amazing and everyone is still talking about the view! Lory Skup was the girl who originally got me to fall in the love with that place and she kept in touch with me over the year and half helping me and giving me great suggestions. she even offered to go to bridal events with me! She also never really goes to wedding because she passes them of to the coordinator, we become so friendly she came that night to help with the night and make sure everything went well. So sweet!!
Floral Gardens of Highland Park- Rosanne was amazing as well! I brought in a few pics and they were all different and all over the place. She picked through them all and came up with the best of all worlds. My Italian mother is very hard to please with flower and table arrangements, she was in love with the sample pieces and didn’t even have her change one thing on them!
DJ- MDM Entertainment– Mike did my brothers wedding as well and we all loved him. Everyone was up and dancing and we all had such a great time. At one point in the middle of dinner Mike had the entire place on their feet, I remember looking around and My grandpa was the only one sitting!!! I had maybe 10 songs for Mike and trusted him to work the rest of the night and he truly delivered! I also used MDM for my photo-booth which was a big hit as well (only problem with that is they had the wrong date on everyone’s prints pictures 🙁 oohh well, im over it!)
Patti H. – Wedding planer- what an amazing gift from my brother and Aly. I really never thought I needed someone their, until I started meeting with Patti and she keep me in check as well as reminded me of things I would have never thought of having or doing. she kept me super calm that morning and all through out the day.
Shoes and Dress- Working in the fashion industry I really was just looking for something unique and I thought would look great in unique pictures. I wanted it to me fun and I didn’t think i would like the drop waist style, but it ended up looking the best on my body since I’m so short and have big boobs. But you have to sometime go with a cut and looks good on even if it isn’t what you had in your mind or see in the pictures!
My favorite wedding purchase was my dress, i almost didn’t want to take it off at the end of the night! Also the platform sparkly shoes that i wore from 9:00Am to 1:00AM!!! no joke, my friend had bought me some great flats to wear and I never even put them on! they were so comfortable!
Brides to be… don’t stress about the little things just think about being on that dance floor with your husband (who never dances with you and all of a sudden is sweating and jamming on the dance floor) and all your friends and family!!!”
