Ceremony St. Cyril & Methodius in Lemont | Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet, IL wedding reception | Heidi and Eric
I always wanted to photograph at the Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet. So when Heidi and Eric hired me to photograph their wedding there I was beyond thrilled!!! This historic mansion is now officially one of my favorite venues in the Chicagoland area.
Dress :“Bernadette” by Maggie Sottero.
Shoes: Badgley Mischka
Hair & Makeup: Jeffrey Lamorte Salon in Lemont.
I saw this red room and I was pretty sure I was in heaven.
I mean come on!!! How gorgeous is this Bride? WOWZA!

From the Bride…
‘Venue: Patrick C. Haley Mansion in Joliet, IL. Absolutely no other venue compared to the Haley mansion. I was in awe from the moment I stepped inside. I would recommend this venue to every bride. It’s pricey, but it’s worth every penny! It was everything I had always dreamed of for my big day. Victorian elegance, professional wedding planners, white glove butler service, and amazing food and top shelf cocktails. In a word…perfection.
Church: St. Cyril & Methodius in Lemont. This was the church Eric and I both had attended while growing up, and I had always pictured myself walking down the aisle there.
String Quartet: Symphony Sounds. LOVED them! Beautiful orchestral music that truly made our ceremony special.
Flowers: Renata Chmielniak was so wonderful to work with! Her passion and excitement for flowers was truly contagious! She understood exactly the look I was going for. She could see my vision and was just as excited as I was…maybe even more!
Cake: Oak Mill Bakery I was very satisfied with my experience with Oak Mill Bakery. Did a tasting, picked the design…bada bing bada boom. No issues. The cake was delicious and looked exactly like I had imagined. Here’s to hoping the top tier tastes just as good on our anniversary.
Dress: “Bernadette” by Maggie Sottero, bought at Eva’s Bridal of Oak Lawn. I only tried on 6 dresses and this was the one I kept going back to. Bought it the same day, no need to sleep on it. This was the dress I knew I’d be married in.
DJ: Style Matters, Nate. This was the only vendor that we were disappointed with. Our DJ, Nate, didn’t listen to any of our music requests and pretty much played a cookie-cutter wedding playlist from 3 years ago. I should have just plugged in my ipod, at least my music is current.
Tuxes: Men’s Wearhouse. What can I say, the guys all showed up and looked good. Mission complete.
Shoes: Badgley Mischka I could lie and say that they were comfortable to wear for 12 hours….but beauty is pain and I absolutely loved my shoes.
Hair & Makeup: Jeffrey Lamorte Salon in Lemont. Melissa did my hair and it was exactly as I always wanted it: a simple, clean sophisticated up-do. I had so much fun with her doing the hair trials.
Favorite memory: feeling my heart pound as my dad walked me down the aisle towards my future husband. That, and also when the priest kept mispronouncing my name. I am now known as Haydeee.
Advice: do your wedding hair trial on the day of your bridal shower. I’m not good at styling my own hair, so I used that opportunity to feel extra special with my fancy updo at the shower.
Favorite wedding related purchase: Angel Eyes Photography, duh! Hilda is truly amazing! I She can make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. She’s so fun and down-to-earth. Hilda’s an artist, a photographer, gal pal, comedian, and stylist all rolled into one. She and her wonderful assistant Carol do everything they can to capture the beauty and special moments of your big day.’
