Highland Park Presbyterian Church | Lake Forest-Highland Park Illinois Wedding | Katie and Bryan [part 1]

Beautiful Katie Quinn started her day by getting ready in the house where she grew up. She was great at scheduling PLENTY of time for photos, so brides to be please take note…if you want lots of photos please  give your photographer time to create those  photos 🙂

Her custom made hanger from Etsy spelled out her new name,  lots of attention to details at this wedding!

Bryan’s sister proudly looking on.

Katie’s old bedroom was a fantastic backdrop for her pretty blue shoes.

She’s a huge fan of elephants 🙂

Yes, her eyes are really that blue, yes she’s sweet and kind too…yes, some girls do have it all…yes, it’s OK to be jealous.

The ladies looking fab in the living room. Can you believe they had a harp from the Chicago World’s Fair (a.k.a. World’s Columbian Exposition) ? How cool is that?

I found out after the photo was taken, that the chair I dragged outside (with permission of course) for the photos was her Grandmother’s antique.  Katie’s Mom was really thrilled that it got incorporated in the photos.

Hi, Mr. & Mrs. Quinn!!

Meanwhile at the Hotel, the gents looking handsome.

Love this photo…OK done with the smiling, quick let’s all check our phones 😉

Carol said they had her ROTFLOL

Now let me tell you about Bryan…he’s not over the the top flashy, but the way he loves and cares for Katie, makes me want to weep….I actually did get all misty eyed during some parts of the wedding just watching him around  his new Bride. It’s hard to describe, and difficult to capture in photos but all I know for sure, that Katie Quinn is one lucky lady. It’s not that he wrote her a letter, it’s the little things, like how he addressed the envelope for her on their wedding day…Shhh!! What’s that noise? Ah, yes!! It’s the ladies swooning all over the world reading this blog post.

Perhaps someone jumped the gun, maybe someone wasn’t paying attention to his  queue to walk down the isle, possibly  someone had to go back in line for a do over…I’m not naming any names…it could have happened that way 😉

From Katie…

*The wedding dress clothes hanger was done by lilafrances on Etsy.

*My dress and the bridesmaids dresses were from David’s Bridal. They all picked their own shoes. Our necklaces were from Say Anything Jewelry on Etsy.

*The bridesmaids and I all got our hair done at Mario Tricoci in Vernon Hills, IL. (Kara did mine–she was so fun and gave me exactly what I wanted!)
*Bryan and the groomsmen all wore tuxes from Men’s Wearhouse.
*Our ceremony venue was the Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Highland Park, IL, and our officiant was Rev. David Perkins.
*Our reception venue/caterer was the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire, IL.

*The photographer was obviously Hilda Burke of Angel Eyes Photography :). You were amazing! I was so happy to have you not only to document such an incredible day, but just to hang out with, help keep me calm and unstressed, and make me laugh. On top of just being a wonderful friend to hang out with on the wedding day, you captured some gorgeous photos that we will truly treasure forever. You were by far one of the best parts of the entire wedding day.
