This was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. Sara and Chad live in another state so Sara’s Mom was a wonderful local contact person to help with the planning details. In the end everything went off without a hitch (despite the heat and humidity) and I have a new favorite venue I like to recommend.
Bridal gown from the Robin Jillian Bridal collection.
In one window Sara’s wedding dress, in the other her Mom’s wedding dress.
I would love to have gorgeous eyes like that.
The girls had so much fun getting the Bride into her dress.
Joesph’s Florist in Libertyville, IL. did and amazing job with the flowers.
Her sisters help with the veil…obviously beauty runs in the family.
Gorgeous!
Photo of the handsome Groom by Carol Lea.
The first look, Sara decided to have some fun with the Groom while his eyes were closed 😉
Both the ceremony and the reception took place at the Cuneo Mansion and Gardens in Vernon Hills, Illinois. This is one of the most gorgeous and unique venues I’ve ever seen in the entire Chicagoland. It’s also a museum, it’s so worth a visit.

Favorite!!!
The bridesmaids all wore Bill Levkoff.
These two were so cute!
Loves the centerpieces!
Check back soon for part two 🙂
One more favorite.
From the Bride…
‘Venue: We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the Cuneo Mansion and Gardens in Vernon Hills, Il. It could not have been more perfect (aside from the 90+ heat) The gardens were in full bloom for the ceremony, the terrace was set up beautifully for the cocktail hour including my favorite the apple martinis and ice luge! The dinner was INCREDIBLE not to mention the impressive formal presentation in which everyone was served. Mary Bauer was an absolute doll! She walked us through every detail of the events for the Wedding Day and was more than accommodating as both the bride and groom had to travel in from out of town. I would highly recommend the Cuneo for anyone who is looking for a place that has it all, beauty, location, presentation, history and a staff and chief that are OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Dress: My wedding dress and veil were all purchased in West Des Moines, IA at Stacey’s Formal Wear. They are only one of a hand full of bridal salons in the country that carry the Robin Jillian bridal collection. The dress was the third one I tried on and it was over after that!

Flowers: Our flowers and centerpieces were done by Joesph’s Florist in Libertyville, IL. Jill made all my dreams come true with everything that was put together. She was able to take my simple ideas and turn them into masterpieces! I can not say enough wonderful things about her or the rest of the staff at Joesph’s!
Photographer: Angel Eyes! The best of the best and I would recommend them to anyone. Hilda’s ability to capture moments and true expression is the best I have seen. Both Hilda and Carol were extremely easy to work with, and the best part of it they also liked to have fun! It was almost like we were hanging out with friends the entire day. I would hire Angel Eyes Photography again in a heart beat! Thank you so much – the memories would not be the same without you being part of our special day!’
