Garrett Theological Seminary’s Chapel at Northwestern University in Evanston | Betsy & Will Wedding [1]-
Where do I even start with Betsy & Will? They are the kind of people you wish were your actual friends. From the fist meeting though the wedding it’s been a blast. They are so sweet, kind, friendly, fun and I just had so much fun photographing them 🙂

‘Dress – Ultimate Bride in Chicago, IL ( http://www.ultimatebride.com/ ). I worked with Rachel at Ultimate Bride and was very impressed with their process and assistance in finding the perfect dress! I went in knowing I wanted lace and simple v-line straps and I ended up falling in love with a strapless gown with the most beautiful lace pattern I could have ever imagined! Rachel was supportive and encouraging with every dress I tried and helped me imagine custom straps made with the lace from the dress. Maria in alterations was a genius and I was in awe of the final product! My mother also purchased her stunning mother of the bride dress at Ultimate Bride.

Church Venue – Garrett Theological Seminary’s Chapel of the Unnamed Faithful at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. My grandfather was a Methodist minister and as a girl growing up I always dreamed of having him perform the ceremony at my wedding. Unfortunately he passed away before that could happen, so when Will and I got engaged one of the most important aspects of the wedding to us was finding a place that was special to us but also special to my Papa in his time as a minister. He and my mother both went to Garrett Theological Seminary and have special ties to the Chapel of the Unnamed Faithful. The staff at Garrett were very helpful in arranging for us to have our wedding there and making all of the accommodations for us and our guests.
Day of Coordinator – Alicia Blumer from Occasions Event Planning. We actually were given Alicia’s information from Connie at the Garden and we are SO happy we found her! None of the perfection of our day could have been accomplished if not for Alicia’s help. She is so patient, sweet, and hard working… our only regret is that we didn’t contact her sooner! She was pivotal in making everything come together through communicating with vendors, answering the millions of questions we had, organizing a realistic time line, and executing just about everything on the day of our wedding – including bringing the bride and bridesmaids lunch as we were getting ready before the ceremony! She was a life saver and such a joy to work with.
Photography – Angel Eyes Photography ( http://www.angeleyesphotography.com/ ). Hilda, Hilda, Hilda… where to start?! Apart from the venues, the photographer was on the top of our list when we got engaged as far as what was most important to us. Connie at the Botanic Garden gave me a few recommendations and Hilda was at the top of her list. She was the first photographer I contacted and we knew during our first meeting with her that she was the one. Not only is her work incredible, which is obvious to anyone who sees anything she does, but she is also a wonderful person whom we have come to love very much! She is a natural and has a way about her that makes people comfortable, which makes for exceptional photos. I have to say that on the day of the wedding she also turned out to be one of my saviors – making sure I had what I needed, was on schedule, and happy all day long. There is no doubt for either of us that she is our photographer for life… whether she likes it or not ;)’
😀
The photo above cracks me up, the little flower girls are watching the ducks, while the boys are wrestling. Don’t forget to check back for part two coming soon and check Facebook for more photos 🙂
