A New Leaf, Chicago unique wedding venue | Hotel Lincoln | Laura & Mike-
This happy couple chose a unique venue for their wedding, and also for the getting ready portion of the day. They got ready at the Hotel Lincoln…I mean the accent color was red, how could I not be over the moon?

From the Bride…
“Venue – A New Leaf, Chicago – As we were looking at different event spaces, we realized quickly that the more traditional wedding venues did not appeal to us. We were hoping for something different, a more of a comfy get together feel. Walking into A New Leaf for the first time we instantly fell in love! It is one of the most unique venues in Chicago. A great blend of rustic and contemporary. We loved the outdoor courtyard, and multi-level interior that encourages guests to move around and be comfortable. As day turned into night, the ambiance that the candle treatment provided was just gorgeous!
Flowers – Besides being a fabulous wedding venue, A New Leaf is also premiere florist that provided the flowers for our event. The space speaks for itself, so we did not need to add a lot of extra flowers. Our coordinator Laurie had great ideas about what would look best, and she blended our two favorites (orchids and succulents) to make some beautiful arrangements.
Food – The Hearty Boys, Chicago – We could not have been happier with the food! The “Urban BBQ” buffet theme was delicious. Steve at Hearty Boys was such a pleasure to work with, and we enjoyed every minute of planning, tasting, and eating the food! The private server they assigned just to us made sure that we had everything we needed all night. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about the food and specialty drinks the Hearty Boys created for our event!
DJ – Okyne Medialab – Our DJ Randall did a great job of making sure he played all the songs we requested beforehand and mixed them with crowd requests. He kept our guests dancing all night.
Dress – The Dress by Nicole in Wheaton, IL. A small dress boutique that manages to offer a variety of different styles and great service. This was the first dress I tried on, and nothing else compared to it!
Cake – Amy Beck Cake Design – Possibly the most fun part of planning the wedding was trying out the delicious cake options! Amy was great to work with and with just a few suggestions of the colors and designs I liked from me created a gorgeous cake.
Photography – Hilda Burke, Angel Eyes Photography – Hilda was an easy choice for us 🙂 She is likable, easy to work with, passionate about her work, and incredibly talented!
Your favorite wedding related purchase? My Jimmy Choo sparklers were comfortable, matched my dress perfectly, and were worth every penny!
Your favorite wedding memory? The “first reveal” was a really special and emotional moment. It was so easy to get caught up in the stress of planning a wedding, and in that moment it just hit me that we were really about to be married, the planning was over, and all that was left to do was enjoy the day.. and the rest of our lives together!”
The photo above is my absolute favorite…LOVE IT!!! More on Facebook 🙂
