Metropolis Ballroom wedding in Arlington Heights | St. James Church | Michelle & Erik

Ever since I photographed their romantic proposal, I’ve been looking forward to this wedding.  I absolutely loved all the details that made this day so fun and unique. The flowers were my favorite, so beautiful in colors and textures. Erik is not only a firefighter but a very talented man. He made the LOVE sign, the bench (the guest signed that instead of a book)  and the card holder. I also thought that is was fun touch to have the firemen bring their helmets and they were used as part of the table decorations 🙂

We couldn’t be happier with all the vendors. We are so thankful to each of them. From the start of picking the venue to the littlest details in between and the day of each one worked with us the entire way and really made our vision come true.

Besides the Dress I think the best purchase was the materials that Erik purchased that he used to make our LOVE Letters that were used as a backdrop to the dance floor, our guest bench that we used for our guest to sign and our card box.

The Funniest moment would be either me falling on the dance floor during the mother daughter dance or Erik and his groomsmen dancing around with cow bells.

Our favorite wedding memory is the choreographed Backstreet Boy dance we did after our first dance. We had many laughs learning it and were so happy that we actually got through it on the dance floor. Also being able to celebrate our wedding with all our family in friends. Definitely a day and night to remember.

Advice to other couples is too enjoy every moment and take it all in….XO Michelle & Erik.’
