Salvatore’s Ristorante, Chicago IL Wedding |Stephanie and Tim part 2

The reception of Stephanie & Tim’s Wedding took place at Salvatore’s Ristorante 🙂 Brides to be please read to the end of this blog post for some extremely helpful links and advice form the Bride and Groom 🙂  Click here to see part one.

Isn’t this a great idea instead of place-cards?

All the beautiful flowers were done by Ashland Addison Florist Co.

I love the fact that they donated to a PAWS shelter.

This was the cutest thing ever….Stephanie found herself on an empty dance-floor while waiting for the fist dance to start, and she took full advantage of it spinning around and having fun…it was probably my favorite part of the day 🙂

Stephanie, you’re adorable!

They had some great moves  during the first dance.

I probably cried right around this time, Stephanie asked the DJ to play her parents song, so they can have a first dance they didn’t have at their wedding…isn’t that the sweetest?

You know it’s a great party when all the parents are on the dance floor.  Below, Tim’s parents 🙂

Tim you are the sweetest man!

Tim and Stephanie (and both of their families) thank you for your generous spirit and your your kindness…looking forward to sharing the rest of the images with you very soon 🙂

From Stephanie & Tim…

Our #1 tip for soon-to-be Brides and Grooms: Use Yelp religiously.  We found all of our vendors through Yelp and weren’t let down by any of them.  They all exceeded expectations and then some!

-Florist – Ashland Addison Florist Co. – Martha Carrasco-Sheffield… Since Martha knew how important having beautiful peonies was to me (because they remind me of my Grandma), she very thoughtfully sent an email to me the week before the wedding just to let me how gorgeous my magenta peonies were going to be on my wedding day. Our flowers were absolutely breathtaking! Martha did an amazing job bringing our vision to life for our wedding. After our one and only one-on-one planning session with Martha, we knew she was going to “WOW” us on our wedding day. http://www.ashaddflorist.com/

-Hair – Salon Rouge – Brittney and Katy… Brittney did my hair and Katy did my Mom’s hair. Brittney and Katy also did my bridesmaids’ hair. They both did a fabulous job! Tim and I no longer live in Old Town, but Brittney keeps me coming back. http://salonrougechicago.com

-(AMAZING) Photography – Angel Eyes Photography – Hilda Burke and Hilda’s assistant, Carol… Where do we begin?! Words cannot express how much we love Hilda and Carol and their AMAZING talents! Hilda has an incredible eye for capturing the little details and the beauty of each moment. We feel incredibly lucky to have had her with us on our journey to married life—we really don’t think it gets any better than Hilda. http://www.angeleyesphotography.com/

-Makeup – Dori Mae Makeup – Doris Rohr… Dori loves what she does and it shows! Dori and Hilda went above and beyond to make my wedding day the best day of my life. When my bridesmaid’s zipper ripped as she was getting into her dress, Hilda pulled out her sewing kit. Yes, my amazing photographer had a sewing kit (among other resources) in her bag “just in case” something happened! Then, Dori rushed to the rescue and sewed my bridesmaid into her dress, just in time for my bridesmaids to help me get dressed. Dori and Hilda, you are both such beautiful people—inside and out.http://www.dorimaemakeup.com/

-Music – Cage+Aquarium Productions – DJ Kevin Price (aka DJ Scratchie Robinson)… Before we were even engaged, we had agreed that a DJ can make or break your wedding. So, naturally, when we got engaged and individually ranked our top five “Must Have’s” for our wedding, “Awesome DJ” was at the top of both of our lists. Kevin’s A-game was on-point at our reception—the dance floor was packed the entire night! We feel extremely lucky to have had Kevin’s talented self there to help make our celebration “the best wedding reception” that some of our guests “had ever been to”!

-Reception Venue – Salvatore’s Ristorante – Amra Custic… PERFECT restaurant and reception venue! Amra was the best—working with our other vendors to ensure they had everything they needed! The service, the food and the CAKE (Rolf’s Patisserie of Lincolnwood, IL) were fantastic! http://www.salvatores-chicago.com/

-Transportation – Elite Chicago Limo… Awesome party bus that was comfortable, clean and air conditioned (a must for our July wedding!). Our driver was always on-time and knew exactly where he was going, so we were able to relax and enjoy our mobile dance party! http://www.elitechicagolimo.com/

Bride’s favorite wedding memories: (1) EVERYTHING about our reception—it was truly a celebration of the joining of two incredible families, (2) Watching my parents have their “first dance” that they never had on their own wedding day (28 years ago!) , and (3) Having vendors who were truly committed to ensuring our wedding day was the best day of our lives.

Groom’s favorite wedding memories: (1) Taking it all in while watching Steph walk down the aisle, (2) After the ceremony, walking down the aisle together as husband and wife then fist bumping and “blowing it up”, and (3) I loved Steph’s “grooms cake” surprise when her die-hard Nebraska (football fans!) family clapped and sang along to the Notre Dame fight song.
