This was my first time at Olympia Fields Country Club, and I certainly hope it won’t be my last. There are so many great photo ops, the staff is amazing and the food delicious! What else could you ask for? Oh, yeah rooms upstairs where you can stay and get ready. Perfect!
For most of the getting ready, it was just Lauren and her Mom. It was very sweet and it gave them both some quality time together before the chaos of the day took over. Lauren’s Mom paused several times and said ‘wait, let me just enjoy this moment’ it was quite heartwarming and refreshing to witness.

“- Venue: Olympia Fields Country Club – They provided anything I could possibly have wanted! Our wedding guests complimented the staff and how friendly/efficient they were. I was seriously amazed at how well organized the event manager was and how her staff took care of everything!
– Band: Stitely Entertainment – “312 Chicago” – This band was rockin! They let Patrick and I pick out our songs through their website, and they put together a simulated set list for us about a week before the wedding! They did a great job of playing the songs we picked and then choosing new songs that fit those styles! The dance floor at our venue was huge, and it was completely packed from beginning to end. We loved them!
– Flowers: Viva La Flora – They did a fantastic job creating beautiful and unique arrangements that fit our style. I was floored by the grandiosity of some of the arrangements! I actually found myself being distracted by the flowers during the ceremony 🙂
– Cake: Karen Scobbie Cake Design: We really enjoyed the way our wedding cake tasted and looked. We wanted something simple, and Karen gave us just that. Looking at some of her past cake designs, it is clear she can do some pretty awesome things with cake. She was very easy to work with, too. This was one of the low-stress areas of our wedding.
As far as memories go – The whole thing was one huge party and we had a blast the whole time! I specifically remember how much fun the band provided – The dance floor was packed, and we felt like it was nonstop dancing for hours! They were very high energy, and we loved it!
I took the advice of other brides about making an effort to remember every moment of the day. I didn’t let anything go by without truly being in the moment. I think the best advice is to completely stop worrying on the day of your wedding. What is done is done, and there is no point in worrying about the organizational aspect. You’ve done all the hard work already, so enjoy the day!
