Yanni Design Studio | St. Alexander in Palos Heights | Patrick Haley Mansion Wedding Venue | Ginny & Pat

This wedding was a stunner! And I mean WOW!! Took me ages to  choose photos for this blog post, because the sheer amount of options was overwhelming. From the stunning sparkles to the jaw dropping flowers, I was in heaven. Of course the gorgeous couple and their fun wedding party, didn’t hurt one bit either 😉  Don’t even get me started on the most stunning venue, it’s The Patrick Haley Mansion , it gives you endless photo ops inside and out. I hope you enjoy the highlights.

The great thing about having your wedding at the mansion, is that you get the whole place to yourself…and the inside is just as gorgeous as the outside.

From the couple…

‘Dress: The dress, veil, and hair clip were purchased at the Crystal Bride in downtown Geneva. The shop was exquisite and their customer service was second to none. Kayla was so helpful and covered every detail to make the shopping experience fun and memorable. Mila was an expert at alterations. She carefully listened to all requests and feedback and the result was a perfect and comfortable fit.

Hair & Makeup: Tamara Hair & Makeup Artistry made all the girls look and feel beautiful. Their team was professional, on time, and prepared. We had Tamara doing makeup and Lindsey doing hair. Tamara, Lindsey, and their assistants successfully glammed up fourteen girls in under 5 hours! We highly recommended them!
Invitations & Programs: We ordered matching invitations and programs from Encre Studio’s Etsy shop. We chose the blush and gold bokeh design which matched our color scheme perfectly!
Bridesmaid Dresses: The bridesmaids wore Adrianna Papell’s beaded blouson halter dress in the shell color. The dresses were gorgeous and allowed the girls to sparkle from head to toe all day long.
Tuxedos: Patrick and his groomsmen rented classic black Vera Wang tuxedos from Men’s Wearhouse. The gentleman looked dapper and refined!
Reception Venue: The Patrick Haley Mansion, located in downtown Joliet, was a stunning venue. Guests were able to tour the grounds, garden, and upstairs. The ballroom was modern and bright with numerous windows and a large skylight over the dance floor. The sparkling chandeliers and gold decor created an elegant setting. The servers and greeters were exceptional and attentive throughout the evening.

Yanni Design Studio: Yanni Design Studio was truly the best florist ever. They made the planning process fun and easy. They showed us a sample of each of the centerpieces in advance. Their floral creations were beyond compare. Their team was talented and timely. Go Yanni or go home!

Cake: Nothing Bundt Cakes were displayed on a sweets table in the mansion’s parlor. These individual treats were delicious and a fun alternative to a traditional wedding cake.

Display Cake: We used a three tier faux wedding cake created by Cake in the Cupboard. It was a beautiful piece of decor and allowed us to participate in the tradition of the bride and groom cutting the cake.

Church: St. Alexander in Palos Heights is a church that is near and dear to Ginny’s heart. She was baptized and attended kindergarten through 8th grade there. The church was recently remodeled and was the perfect setting for Ginny & Patrick to tie the knot.

Transportation: We rented M & M Limousine’s 45 person party bus. It had limo style seating which made for a fun and inviting atmosphere for our large wedding party.

Videographer: We hired It’s a Fridge Thing for our wedding video. Alex and his crew were very discreet throughout the day. They captured all of our special moments and produced a masterpiece that will help us cherish this day forever.

Stache Band: These guys ROCK! The dance floor was packed the entire night. Ryan was an incredible emcee and helped everything flow in a timely manner.

Favorite Wedding Related Purchase: The engagement ring is our favorite wedding purchase. At first, Pat stored in a butter container to keep it safe and hidden. Luckily by the time Ginny received it, the rock was butter free and as sparkly as can be! Ginny loves anything and everything glitter related and enjoys getting to wear the extra bling everyday! She admires it every time she looks at it, and it reminds her how lucky she is to have married #ZeManOfHerDreams. Burland Harold & Son Jewelers did an excellent job designing both the engagement ring and wedding band.

Favorite Wedding Memory: We loved the moment when the doors swung open at the church. Ginny was so excited to see Pat smiling at the end of the aisle. Pat got contacts just for this moment so he could see his bride! It was so special to see each other for the first time on their wedding day and to share this special moment with their families and friends.

Funny moments: The Zemans are a divided household when it comes to Big 10 Universities. The kids are split- Iowa vs. Indiana. However, Pat’s dad, Gary, is a die-hard Illini fan and was so happy to welcome Ginny, a fellow Illini, into the family. Gary displayed his pride and approval when he stole the microphone and chanted I-L-L repeatedly at the reception!

Advice for couples planning their wedding: Don’t sweat the small stuff and relax and enjoy every second!’
