‘Venue: Chicago Botanic Garden (this was really my dream come true, as I’d been dreaming of my wedding at the garden since I was a little girl since my dad worked there! The garden sets the stage for an amazing event, it is beautiful before you add all the wedding decor)
Plus the ceremony at my church where I grew up was also really a dream come true..it looked so beautiful! (First United Methodist Church in Evanston)
Dress: Weddings 826 (love, love, loved my dress and all the girls at Weddings 826!)
Makeup and hair-Dori Mae (Dori and Lauren were great with doing everyone’s hair and makeup, they really listened to hear what people wanted and everyone looked so beautiful and our hair and makeup stayed really well all night!)
Flowers: Design by Jodi (flowers at church and garden were really amazing! loved the pale pinks and my white bouquet)
Tuxedos: Formerly Modern Tuxedo (would totally recommend tuxedos, when else do you get to dress up like that?! we had black tie option, which was a fun touch!)
Band: High Society Orchestra (They were great, so much fun, got all guests involved and having fun, people still keep saying how great the band was!)
My favorite wedding purchase has to be my dress. I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend Weddings 826. All of the women there are extremely helpful and nice. After looking at several store in Chicago, i felt I got a high quality dress at a reasonable price. I loved the car we rented to drive away from the church and having guests blow the bubbles as we walked out of the church! That was one of Ryan and my favorite moments. I spent time trying to be very organized and it paid off. There is nothing I would have done differently. It was really the wedding of my dreams!!! I also made a point to take it in and not let it all be a big whirl and I feel thankful to have lots of wonderful memories of moments of the wedding in my head.
I also feel lucky to have found you, Hilda!! You really helped things run smoothly too and I appreciate that so much!! I also didn’t feel like you were in my way or intrusive, which is important in a photographer. And you were very easy to be around…everyone loved you! I can’t wait to see the pictures…I know I”m going to love them!’
