Karen and Paul Wedding, Allerton Hotel Chicago
Karen managed to pull off a miracle. She planned this amazing wedding in a few short weeks, from 2,000 miles away. It was beautiful and intimate. The ceremony and reception took place at the Allerton Hotel in Chicago. It’s a truly unique Hotel, it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [ http://www.theallertonhotel.com/ ]

They decided to see each other before the wedding, so we’d have plenty of time for photos. Here’s Karen approaching, I love the anticipation on Paul’s face!

Back at the hotel, just before the ceremony I saw this incredible light coming though the window, I asked Karen to come over for a few shots, and the result is one of my absolute favorites!

Immediately after the ceremony, Karen’s little boy was overwhelmed with emotion. Everyone was crying including me! He is the sweetest most well behaved kid I have ever met. His answers were ‘yes, ma’am’ and excuse me ma’am’ . I want to send my kids to live with Karen for a few months, I think she could whip them into shape.
In a few minutes he was fine, and ready to help me out with the rig shots.
Around dusk we ran back out for a few more photos.
